Hi, I’m Anna. This is my blog.
I grew up in a small town, went to a small college in a bigger city and had every intention to be a modern-day Mary Tyler Moore (she’s much more my speed than Carrie Bradshaw or the rest of the gals from Sex and the City). On my way to taking the world by storm, God intervened and I fell in love with a boy from my home town. We spent two years dating long distance and then, while admiring an upside down moon on the beach in Puerto Vallarta, that boy got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife.
We got married on an incredibly hot July day and merged our country mouse/city mouse personalities by buying a house in the suburbs. We added our boxer/bulldog Gus to the mix a few months later. After a few years of rocking the suburbs we decided that it might be time to add another human to the family. It took a while, but on Memorial Day Weekend 2008 we discovered we were expecting. Lukas Edward was born on January 17, 2009. This blog is really for him. When I discovered I was having a hard time remembering all of the little details of his life I decided I need to start keeping track and the weekly recaps began.
Parenthood is rewarding, but I’m more than just a mom. In order to get back to the things that I want to do (and many of them include my little family) I revised a list of 30 things I want to do before I turn 30 in February 2010. I’ll track that progress here as well.
This is our life. Thanks for being a part of it.
